Open each weekday all year, the Community Action, Inc. Drop-in Center in Haverhill, MA. serves as a safe haven for homeless and indigent individuals, including the elderly and those at risk for substance abuse and HIV. It is the area’s only drop-in day program for this population. Services include: assistance and advocacy to access essential resources; on-site basic medical care/screening/referrals; daily light breakfasts; a bagged lunch on Mondays and a full breakfast on Thursdays; free clothing and, for eligible SSI and SSDI recipients, a Representative Payee program.
